The Brief
Carers Queensland engaged RAW Commercial Projects to design and deliver their latest office fitout on the Gold Coast. As one of RAW’s most valued long-term clients, the brief was consistent with what has made previous Carers Queensland fitouts so successful — a warm, light, and airy environment that feels genuinely welcoming to both staff and the clients they serve, delivered responsibly within budget.
The Outcome
The Southport fitout continues Carers Queensland’s tradition of well-considered, people-first office environments — spaces that reflect the warmth and professionalism of the organisation and genuinely serve the people who use them every day. Light, airy, beautifully detailed, and delivered on budget. Another project RAW is proud to put their name on for an incredible repeat client.
The Design
The space is built around warmth and light — blonde timber vinyl flooring, a palette of soft neutrals and crisp white, and a sculptural curved partition wall in the reception area that immediately softens the environment and sets a welcoming tone. Two distinct seating zones serve the waiting area, with cream upholstered chairs along the curved wall and charcoal lounge chairs around a low round table, tied together by a wave-form pendant light overhead. Full-height black-framed glazing separates Meeting 1 and Meeting 2 from reception, with frosted manifestation for privacy and direct client access from the waiting zone. The kitchen and breakout is a standout — timber overhead cabinetry, charcoal lower joinery, a stone-look splashback, and a curved bar-height island beneath a linear pendant, all bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling glazing. A bespoke abstract carpet tile in charcoal and sand adds texture and character to the office zones without competing with the warmth of the timber flooring throughout.
Construction
The project was delivered to RAW’s full standard — on time and within budget. Works encompassed full internal partitioning including the curved reception wall, black-framed full-height glazing systems, timber vinyl flooring, custom carpet tiles, ceiling works, joinery throughout the kitchen and breakout area including the curved island bench, electrical and data services, lighting including the feature pendants, and the full supply and installation of all loose and fixed furniture.
